AgVenture Lab is a place where like-minded people gather to promptly identify agricultural and social issues and persistently try to solve them. With diverse people gathering here, including farmers, entrepreneurs, and engineers, the Lab will seek technologies and ideas that are in the small seed phase, sprout them, and make the agricultural business more attractive.

Joined The Norinchukin Bank in 1990. Engaged in system development of securities and data warehouse, and IT risk management. Studied Internet Business at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2000. After serving as Executive Officer and General Manager of Digital Innovation Division, he has served as CEO of AgVenture Lab since 2019 and Special Counselor of The Norinchukin Bank since 2021.

Five years have passed since the AgVenture Lab was established, and the progress we have made so far is gradually beginning to bear fruit. From this point on, it is important for the JA Group as a whole to achieve concrete results and grow together with our stakeholders. Furthermore, we aim to continue to be an organization that supports ambitious efforts to address social issues facing "food," "agriculture," and "life," and to pursue their potential in order to make society as a whole more vibrant.
[Background]
In 1988, he joined the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives and was assigned to the Rice Department. Thereafter, he was engaged in administrative operations such as planning, human resources, and public relations. He has served as Deputy General Manager of the Iwate Prefectural Headquarters and General Manager of the Audit Department at the head office, and since 2024 has served as Executive Director of AgVenture Lab and Counselor of the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives.
